4 Lemon Water Recipes That Balance and Restore

Health has been a heavy topic this year.


Really heavy.


Due to the nature of our business, health and being healthy is a heavy part of our workdays. Clean drinking water is one of the most important necessities in everyday life. We need water to simply survive. Truth be told, not all of us like the taste of water and that's why we resort to fizzy flavored waters, soda, coffee, tea, and everything else that doesn't have water.


One of the best tricks in the book, especially this time of year, is to not only drink more water but to detox at the same time by adding a few simple targeted ingredients to my water.


Here are the recipes:


Lemon Mint Water:

  • 34 slices of lemon

  • 3 sprigs of mint

  • 8 oz of filtered water

Lemon Blackberry Water:

  • 34 slices of lemon

  • 10 fresh blackberries

  • 8 oz of filtered water

Cucumber Strawberry Water:

  • 34 slices of cucumber

  • 4 slices of strawberry

  • 8 oz of filtered water

Lemon Ginger Hot Tea:

  • 34 slices of lemon

  • 3 slices of fresh ginger root (1/4″ slices with skin on)

  • 8 oz of filtered water


As you can see, the main ingredient in each is FILTERED WATER and LEMON. So why lemon?


  1. It helps promote hydration. We should be drinking eight 8 oz. glasses of water per day, adding lemon to your water helps it taste better and in theory will help you drink more water.

  2. Water and Lemon support weight loss. Drinking more water will actually make you feel full. That combined with the health benefits of lemon, specifically the polyphenol antioxidants, helps reduces weight gain.

  3. It’s a good source of Vitamin C. Citrus fruits, in general, are a great source of Vitamin C, adding lemon to your water gives you an extra boost. (add in orange or grapefruit for even more Vitamin C power)

  4. Helps with Digestion. Some people drink lemon water to help prevent constipation. Drinking warm or hot lemon water when you wake up in the morning may help get your digestive system start moving. (See the Lemon Ginger Hot Tea recipe)

All of the other additive fruits have great antioxidant health benefits and we highly recommend that you switch up your daily unflavored filtered water with some of these recipes! Cheers.
